Solar Eclipse

We would have chased totality if the forecast had been better, but we stayed in West Texas.

We considered diving to Del Rio or Fredricksburg, but the forecast predicted rainy skies there. So, we accepted our 90% solar eclipse as the event the universe wanted us to see. We assembled our telescope, fixed lunch, and restfully prepared for the day. We wore our solar glasses, experienced a viewing box, and took pictures.

As the sky grayed and the moon covered the sun, a mockingbird sang, winds paused, and all remained clear. Irises bloomed nearby.
