Darkroom Rundown
In a photo darkroom, I see years of effort in every print, and in 2020, I selected pre-cut mats from a reliable source, worked with warmth, and sat with an open window, asking, what do I want to place in this?
Because fiber prints swell in water, I increased my paper dimensions to trim unwanted curls. I dropped 16x20 enlargements from my workflow due to space constraints and used thin frames to show contact prints signed with a mechanical pencil. For 11x14 enlargements, I placed each within a 16x20 wooden frame and considered wider mat borders to present well in larger rooms.
I love Super Steel Picture Hangers.
