Warming

Warming filters, where have you been my whole life? A wide open sky in West Texas creates a blue color cast, and the warming filter, when white balance is set to daylight, removes it.

Digital replaced lens filters; however, I enjoy using them for testing. For instance, if we know the default kelvin used for daylight in our camera, we can simulate a filter’s effect.

• 81A = 5,600k + 200

• 81B = 5,600k + 300

• 81C = 5,600k + 400
