Navasota, Texas, 2017 - We can have all of the money in the world and not solve our problems. We can have most attractive people and not solve anything. We can be full of anger and go nowhere. However, fortunately for us, there is one thing that can change everything. It's called our imagination. We each have one. It's available every day free of charge. We take it everywhere we travel. It doesn't care about appearance or place of origin. A degree from the finest school is not required to access it. Nurture it by reading and going to museums. Keep a journal or sketchpad. Practice photography. Always keep creating.

Navasota, Texas, 2017 - When we raise a camera, we receive an invitation to make an observation. Silver rails enter the downtown, crossing signals stand alert, and brick buildings anchor the avenue. Motorists traverse the tracks. New trees and street lights refresh the sidewalks. People stroll, visit the post office and enter the local shops. A public clock tower looms large. In the shade, we pause and listen to the rumble of the locomotives. The trains are magnificent here.
